Llanbradach’s Rhys Griffin will take on world number 18 Josh Rock in the second round of the World Darts Championship.
World number 122 Griffin stormed past the first round after an impressive victory over Karel Sedlacek, who is ranked 68th on the PDC Order of Merit.
Griffin, 27, beat his Czech opponent in three straight sets on Saturday December 21 to book himself an encounter with the Northern Irishman.
The game will played in the afternoon of on Monday December 23.
Meanwhile, Markham’s Gerwyn Price will face Joe Cullen in the third round, with that clash set to be played after Christmas.
