Ffoes Caerffili has once again been recognised at a national awards ceremony, this time in the ‘best repurposing and placemaking project’ category.

The container-style market in Caerphilly town centre received praise from REVO, which celebrates talent within the retail and leisure sector.

Ffos has recently featured on BBC series Chris Cooks Cymru, as well as Escape to the Country.

It was also highlighted by The Sunday Times as one of the UK’s top food halls, describing the venue as an “innovative design”.

Cllr Jamie Pritchard, deputy leader of Caerphilly County Borough Council, said: “Ffos Caerffili is gaining national recognition in such a short time of opening its doors. To be listed by The Times newspaper as one of the best food halls in the UK is a credit to the businesses operating here.

“To be ‘highly commended’ by REVO is also very pleasing. It is important the community supports all the businesses at Ffos Caerffili for new opportunities to be created here.”
