South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) has had to deal with yet another wildfire over the weekend, this time in Llanbradach.
Crews from Caerphilly and Aberbargoed were called to the fire in the woodland above Llanbradach at around 4.45pm on Saturday April 12, with the fire taking around two hours to put out.
In that time, three hectares – the equivalent of around four football pitches – were consumed by the flames.
It was the latest in a recent spate of wildfires, with areas including Cwmfelinfach, Pontlottyn, and Rhymney all affected in recent weeks.
