Update: Gwent Police confirmed on July 14 that a 36-year-old man has been arrested and released under investigation

Police are investigating after a wallet and bank cards were reportedly stolen in Caerphilly last week.

The burglary happened on Railway Terrace sometime between 12.30pm and 3.30pm on Monday June 23.

The offender later tried to use the bank cards in the Shock off-licence on Bartlett Street.

Gwent Police would like to speak with a man pictured on CCTV, who officers believe may be able to help with enquiries.

Anyone with information can contact Gwent Police on 101, or through direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2500198598.
