Hado is an interactive videogame

A free Hado taster event is coming to Caerphilly Leisure Centre this month.

Hado is an augmented reality (AR) sport, combining physical activity with digital gameplay. Players use headsets and armbands to launch virtual energy balls and shields.

The event is being hosted by Hado UK on Wednesday July 9, offering schools, businesses, and individuals the chance to try out the team sport, with support from Esports Wales.

It forms part of Hado UK’s grassroots initiative to grow the sport across the UK, with Caerphilly selected as a key location.

It follows a taster event held at Newbridge Leisure Centre back in April.

Schedule

The day will include the following sessions:

  • School Session (12pm to 2pm): Up to six teams of four. Schools can book their place via email.
  • Corporate Taster (2.30pm to 3.30pm): Four teams of four. A great opportunity for local businesses to get involved.
  • Open walk-in/training session (3.30pm to 4.30pm): Open to individuals – up to 12 spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis.

To book a space, contact meyril@caerphilly.gov.uk or call 01443 863072.
