Risca Male Choir is hosting its annual concert on Saturday August 2

An Eisteddfod-winning choir will be hosting its annual concert this weekend, promising an evening of “rich musical artistry, heartfelt performances, and a celebration of Welsh choral tradition at its finest”.

Risca Male Choir, which won at last year’s National Eisteddfod, will be performing at St Woolos Cathedral in Newport from 7pm on Saturday August 2.

The choir, which was founded in 1970, will be joined on the night by special guest soloist Clara Greening, and renowned pianist Jeffrey Howard BEM.

Also joining the choir will be members of the newly-formed Men United in Song South Wales – a collaborative project raising awareness and funds for Prostate Cymru. The initiative invites men to take part in a nine-week singing programme, led by award-winning music director Matthew James Harrison.

Visit TicketSource or call the box office on 0333 666 3366 to buy tickets for the annual concert.
