Plans for a new development could see 16 new homes built in a field in Aberbargoed.

The proposals, submitted to Caerphilly County Borough Council, set out designs for 14 new houses and two flats on land east of Ty Fry Road.

A Mr and Mrs Jones of DRS Groundworks Ltd are the applicants for the proposed development.

A design statement by planning agents at 360AD Limited describes the current site as an “open field” and sets out how the new homes – if built – would be served by a new access road.

Hopes new business park road will attract investment and jobs

The agents claim the development “thoughtfully addresses the needs of the area” and the homes “will not have any unacceptable impact on neighbouring properties or the land”.

According to planning documents, the applicants do not own all of the proposed development site, but have given prior notice of their proposals to the land’s other owners.

The application is currently out for consultation, and can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 25/0574/FULL.
