A new scheme offering £1 bus travel to anyone aged between five and 15 in Wales has been launched across Wales.
The new Welsh Government scheme, launched on Monday November 3, sees single fares cost just £1, with £3 unlimited travel day tickets also available.
It comes as part of the scheme which brought £1 bus fares for anyone aged between 16 and 21, which came into effect across Wales back in September.
Those aged between 16 and 21 can apply for a free travel pass, which they can show to the bus driver for the reduced fare. These can be obtained online from mytravelpass.tfw.wales.
However, those aged between 5 and 15 don’t need to have the pass to be eligible for the scheme.
The scheme is being introduced by the Welsh Government as part of the budget deal the Welsh Government struck with Welsh Liberal Democrats leader Jane Dodds earlier this year.
The discount only covers bus travel within Wales, and is not currently available with tap-in, tap-out, nor does it cover coach services operated by National Express, Megabus, or Flix Bus.
