Appeal after van ‘deliberately’ reverses into police car

Police are appealing for witnesses after a van reportedly reversed into one of their cars deliberately.

The incident happened on the A469 southbound between Bargoed Morrisons petrol station and Aberbargoed Fire Station at around 2.30pm on Monday November 24.

The white transit van, pictured below, was later found abandoned on Jubilee Road, Elliots Town, the following day.

Gwent Police officers are looking to speak to anyone who was driving on the A469 near Bargoed; Bedwellty Road in Aberbargoed; Heol y Cefn in Markham; Markham Common heading towards Elliots Town; or Jubilee Road in Elliots Town, between 2.25pm and 2.50pm on November 24.

Anyone with information, or CCTV or dash cam footage, can contact Gwent Police on 101 or through social media, quoting log reference 2500374042.
