A mother has spoken of her gratitude to two strangers for saving her nine-month-old baby from a car fire.
Alex McClean, 21, from Ebbw Vale, was driving along the A465 between Rhymney and Merthyr Tydfil at around 1.20pm on Wednesday, January 14, when her car suddenly lost power and began filling with smoke.
After pulling into a lay-by, she escaped the vehicle but was unable to open the rear or passenger doors to reach her daughter, Lilah.
As flames spread, passing motorist Wesley Beynon and his uncle Marc Willding stopped to help.
