Reform’s Wales leader Dan Thomas has announced his party’s shadow cabinet.

The Casnewydd Islwyn MS is the leader of the opposition, after his party won 34 seats at this month’s Senedd election.

Included in his frontbench team is Blaenau Gwent Caerffili Rhymni MS Llyr Powell, who serves as chief whip and business whip, and Laura Anne Jones, who takes on the shadow food, farming, and rural affairs brief.

  • Dan Thomas – leader of the opposition;
  • Helen Jenner – deputy leader and shadow cabinet minister for education and the Welsh language;
  • James Evans – shadow minister for health, prevention, and sport;
  • Francesca O’Brien – shadow minister for local government, housing, and planning;
  • Jason O’Connell – shadow minister for economy and transport;
  • Laura Anne Jones – shadow minister for food, farming, and rural affairs;
  • Cai Parry-Jones – shadow minister for finance and government efficiency;
  • Sarah Cooper-Lesadd – shadow minister for children, young people, and skills;
  • Cristiana Emsley – shadow minister for fairness, families, and communities;
  • Adrian Mason – shadow counsel general and shadow minister for the constitution;
  • Louise Emery – shadow minister for culture, tourism, and hospitality;
  • Gareth Thomas – shadow minister for disabilities, mental health, and veterans;
  • Claire Archibald – shadow minister for social care;
  • Llyr Powell – chief whip and business manager.
