CAERPHILLY: Green light for new industrial unit development
Aerial view of the proposed development site for three industrial units (marked roughly in yellow) south of Nelson

Three new industrial units have been approved for a site in Nelson.

Members of Caerphilly County Borough Council’s planning committee have given their unanimous support to the proposals by Fusion Electrical and Building Services Engineering Ltd.

Case officer Helen Winsall said the development site was to the south of Nelson’s Aldi supermarket, which opened last year.

Four other industrial units are located nearby.

Ms Winsall said the new buildings would include workshops and offices, and it is expected all three will be used by the same company.

The council did not receive any objections to the proposals during a recent consultation period.

Hopes new business park units will provide more flexibility
