Dead Rhymney man named

A 43-year-old man found dead at an address in Hafod Y Mynydd, Rhymney, has been named by police.

The body of James Mark Hamley, who had recently moved to Rhymney from Bargoed, was found at 3am on Saturday October 24.

Gwent Police are specifically appealing for information from anyone who may have seen Mr Hamley at any time on Friday October 23.

A 44-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman arrested in connection with the incident have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police have said the cause of death remains unclear.

Anyone with information about the man’s death is asked to call Gwent Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
