A fashion show will be bringing an audience the best of charity shop chic.

Caerphilly Business Forum’s All About Eve fashion and beauty event, being held on Sunday, November 15, will raise money for Cancer Research Wales and will featured clothing from the charity’s shops across South Wales.

Hairdresser Jasmin Mann, owner of the Vanilla Rooms in Cardiff, has been enlisted by the Caerphilly Business Forum to help style the fashion show.

Jasmin will show the audience of fashionistas from across South Wales how to mix charity shop with high street for a sleek on trend look.

She said: “I’m working closely with the Caerphilly Business Forum and Cancer Research Wales to ensure the event is a success. We’re really trying to focus on the charity shop chic this year and how you don’t have to break the bank to look great.”

The fashion and beauty showcase will be held at Bryn Meadows Golf, Hotel and Spa in Maesycymmer and will be presented by celebrity make-up artist Ariane Poole, who will also be holding her first make-up masterclass in South Wales.

Focusing on several individual looks including “Lipsticks, Pearl and Lace”, “City Slickers”, and “After Dark”, Jasmin and Ariane will recreate this winter’s key looks in a series of workshops and catwalk demonstrations live on stage.

Also on hand to bring inspiration to the fashion and beauty lovers will be title sponsors Center Training The College Ystrad Mynach, whose students will be the showing the newest hair and makeup fashions in a catwalk show.

Coleg Gwent will also showcase their designs – as chosen by Jasmin – in the “Country Life” section featuring floral dresses and outdoor wear.

Cancer Research Wales will have its own stall on the day where people can get the latest looks at bargain prices.

The charity will also be launching their “Donation Station” where visitors can drop off their no longer wanted style gems for the charity to customize for sale on the day and in their newly opend Caerphilly town shop.

Caerphilly Business Forum event officer, and driving force behind the event, Jo Braham said: “Cancer Research Wales is the Mayor of Caerphilly’s chosen charity for the year, and they have recently opened a new shop in Caerphilly so we thought it was fitting to incorporate them in All About Eve.

“Jasmin was such a success last year, there was no question we would ask her back again this year. Her catwalk show and workshops are sure to be highlights of the event.”
