X-Factor Lloyd Daniels survives public vote again

Lloyd Daniels has survived another week on the X-Factor.

Treharris’s Lloyd Daniels has bounced back on this week’s X-Factor after being slated by the TV talent show judges.

On Sunday night’s programme he was voted through to next week’s show by the public after being in the bottom two last week.

On Saturday night’s show the teenager, who had suffered from a sore throat last week, was heavily criticised by judges Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell and Danni Minogue.

Walsh told him: “Lloyd, you’re out of your depth.”

Only mentor Cheryl Cole backed him up and said his rendition of Stand By Me was his “most comfortable vocal” so far.

Lucie Jones, from Pentyrch, was surprisingly in the bottom two with twins John and Edward.

Even more surprising was that judge Simon Cowell decided to keep John and Edward in the competition.

The split judges vote meant the final decision fell to the public vote.

As the contestant with the least votes Lucie was sensationally booted off the show.

The Welsh singer burst into tears as the result was read out but later said: “The boys deserve to be hear they work hard.”
