Police name Risca bypass crash victim

Gwent PolicePolice have named the 72-year-old driver killed in a road crash on the A467 at Crosskeys on Wednesday.

Graham Dark, from Pontllanfraith, was driving a Volvo car when it crashed with a motorcycle just before 6pm at the junction with the B4591 Risca Road.

Gwent Police said the 41-year-old motorcyclist, from the Somerset area, was taken to hospital with two broken arms.

Mr Dark was also taken to hospital but died after suffering fatal injuries.

The A467 was reopened after being closed for three hours.

Witnesses to the crash should contact Gwent Police on its non-emergency 101 number or their collision investigation unit on 01633 642404.
