Treharris’s Lloyd Daniels has survived being in the bottom two once again on TV’s X-Factor.

On Sunday night’s programme he was paired with Jamie Archer after the two gained the least number of public votes.

Judges Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole both voted to save their respective acts of Jamie and Lloyd.

Louis Walsh said both acts were good in the sing-off but opted to save Lloyd who he thought had more potential in the competition.

Danni Minogue chose to send Lloyd home which meant the decision went to the public vote.

The act with the least public votes was Jamie.

Saturday night’s Queen themed show brought a record 14.1 million viewers at its peak winning a 53% audience share for ITV1.

Lloyd sang Crazy Little Thing Called Love while twins John and Edward wowed the audience with their rendition of Under Pressure – complete with Vanilla Ice’s ‘Ice Ice Baby’ rap.

Musician Calvin Harris, who was due to appear on ITV2’s Xtra Factor, bizarrely stormed the stage with a pineapple on his head during Jedward’s performance.

According to a show spokesman he was later removed from the studio.
