Jeff Cuthbert re-selected as Caerphilly’s Assembly candidate

Caerphilly’s Labour AM Jeff Cuthbert as been re-selected to stand for the seat in May 2011 by the local Labour Party.

Bryn Hollywell, the Secretary of Caerphilly Constituency Labour Party, said: “Labour Party members and Trade Union Branches in the Caerphilly constituency have unanimously agreed to re-select our current AM, Jeff Cuthbert, as their candidate for the 2011 Assembly elections.”

Mr Cuthbert said: “I’m honoured and delighted to have been chosen to fight the 2011 Assembly elections on behalf of my party. So that the electorate have clarity about the intentions of the other parties I hope that they will announce their candidates very soon.”
