A 14-year-old Blackwood boy was taken to hospital suffering head injuries after he was knocked down by a VW Transporter van.
Gwent Police are appealing for witnesses following the accident which happened at 2.20pm on Thursday January 14.
The collision took place on the B4251 approximately 150 metres north of Chartist Bridge, Blackwood.
The boy received head injuries and was taken to the University of Wales Hospital for treatment.
