Four men charged with sexually assaulting man, 24, in Croespenmaen

UPDATE: Four in court charged with sexual assault on man, 24, in Crospenmaen

Four men have been charged with sexually assaulting a 24-year-old man.

Two, aged 21 and 19, from Oakdale and a 21-year-old from Croespenmaen are accused of actual bodily harm and serious sexual assault while the fourth, a 22-year-old, from Trinant, is accused of sexual assault.

Gwent Police said the 24-year-old victim was found outside a property in Penybryn Court on Saturday morning.

The four men are due before Caerphilly Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Four other people arrested in connection with the assault have been bailed while a further two have been released without charge.

A 17-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs and assault, and a 23-year-old man arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs have been released on bail.

A 32-year-old man and a 23-year-old man arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs and sexual assault have also been bailed pending further enquiries.

A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of being concerned with the supply of controlled drugs and sexual assault and a 23-year-old man arrested on suspicion of being concerned with the supply of controlled drugs and assault have been released with no further action.
