Two pensioners had their handbags stolen in separate daylight attacks.
At 2.45pm on Monday February 28 a 76-year-old woman was walking along Porset Row in Rudry when she was approached from behind and pushed over by a man described as white and aged between 17 and 25 years old.
He grabbed her handbag and ran off along the cycle path in the direction of Lansbury link road.
As a result of her fall the victim sustained bruising to her head and hip.
The second attack happened at 2.40pm on Tuesday March 1 when a 71-year-old woman walking along Bedwas Road, Caerphilly, had her handbag snatched.
The offender is described as a white man, in his early 20s and of medium build.
Officers are investigating both incidents and are appealing for anyone with information or any witnesses to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
