The Original Factory Shop has launched its new store in Bargoed in the former Woolworths building.
Colin Leggatt, marketing director of the chain, said: “The Original Factory Shop is very pleased to open up at the old Woolworths site in Bargoed. We’ll bring unbeatable value and choice to the high street and will play an active role in the local community.”
The premises, which boasts the largest retail floor space in the town, was purchased by the council using Heads of the Valleys funding from the Welsh Assembly Government.
The Original Factory Shop’s sales strategy is a mix of well-known high street brands at heavily discounted prices.
