A 30-year-old woman arrested after council workers found a dead baby’s body at a house in Pengam has been charged.
Gwent Police said the woman has been charged with the concealment of a birth and will appear before Caerphilly Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday May 26.
The local woman was arrested shortly after a body was found at an empty house at Farm View, Pengam.
Workers from Caerphilly County Borough Council found the baby’s body as they cleaned out the house on Tuesday September 15.
The woman, a mother-of-two, reportedly moved out of the rented house two months before the discovery.
