Bedwas company Peter’s Pies wants people to reveal their favourite Welsh locations for enjoying their pies and pasties.

The company’s online survey is part of a major marketing drive to emphasise the ‘Welshness’ of the brand.

The places which receive most nominations during the Luv Wales, Luv Peter’s poll will feature in an all-Wales advertising campaign next year.

The online survey, which runs until the end of November.

Peter’s marketing controller Clare Morgan said: “We love talking to the people who buy our savouries and we know they like having fun and celebrating Wales.

“For that reason, Wales is the star of our new marketing campaign, Luv Wales, Luv Peter’s. Our loyal customers’ preferences will help drive it forward as we use their favourite pie-eating locations in our marketing activity.

“It’s all very upbeat and fun, and it’s fascinating to see the surveys coming in with heartfelt and genuine reasons for enjoying certain locations. There are some lovely surprises amongst them.”

Those attracting votes at present include Barry Island, the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia. The survey ends in November and the Luv Wales, Luv Peter’s campaign runs until the end of April.

The campaign will see new advertising characters Peter and Paul the Dog pop up around the country on billboards and petrol pumps. The campaign will also have a strong social media presence on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

It employs around 550 staff at its headquarters on the Bedwas House Industrial Estate, Bedwas, and has a chain of distribution depots including one in Swansea.
