News | Richard Gurner | Published: 15:04, Tuesday May 18th, 2010.

Lovers of murder mysteries are in for a treat when world famous authors Michael Jecks and Bernard Knight appear at Caerphilly Castle on Thursday.

The two masters of popular fiction have been invited by Caerphilly Council’s Library Service to talk about their work at the Great Hall of Caerphilly Castle on Thursday May 20 at 2pm.

Professor Bernard Knight, CBE, became a Home Office Pathologist in 1965 and was appointed Professor of Forensic Pathology, University of Wales College of Medicine in 1980.

Since then he has written numerous novels including his famous “Crowner John” series.

His partner in crime Michael Jecks gave up a career in the computer industry to concentrate on writing and the study of medieval history, especially that of Devon and Cornwall.

He has since written 29 books in his popular “West Country Mystery” series.

Free admission is by ticket only and all are welcome.

For your free ticket and any further information please contact Caerphilly Library on 029 2085 2543 or 029 2085 0401.
