Companies in Caerphilly are being encouraged to seek success by entering the 2010 Canmol: Wales Marketing Awards, organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

The Canmol awards, which means to praise in Welsh, were created in 2008 to promote excellence in the marketing industry in Wales.

This year, Canmol will see two new awards – ‘New Marketer’ and ‘Outstanding Contribution’- in addition to the five Canmol trophies, which are given to the most outstanding marketing campaigns in Wales.

Caerphilly-based Catnic, a leading brand in the building products sector, was one of five winners recognised at the Canmol Awards in 2009.

Richard Houdmont, Director for Wales of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, said: “Canmol is going from strength to strength, and we’re delighted to announce that we have two special awards for individuals this year, to praise a new marketer, as well as somebody who has made an outstanding contribution to the industry.

“We created the Canmol Awards to recognise and praise marketing professionals in Wales and we’re delighted with the number and high standard of entries that we have received over the past two years, and hope that this year will be bigger and better than ever.

“In these turbulent economic times, customer-focus and innovation in marketing is ever-more important. This is an opportunity to celebrate the best of marketing in Wales and the contributions of individuals who turn good marketing into something exceptional.”

Visit www.canmol.com to enter Canmol free of charge.

Deadline for entries is Saturday July 31.
