Fundraisers took on a sponsored walk for the Kidney Wales Foundation.
The “Walk for Life” on Sunday from Ystrad Mynach to College to Heollddu Youth Wing in Bargoed was one of 100 taking place across Wales.
Jeff Cuthbert AM, who joined the walk, said: “I was delighted to take part in this walk once again to raise money to support this organisation.
“Although the largely uphill walk was difficult, even I had to find my second wind towards the end, there was no doubting the commitment and spirit of all those that took part.
“I congratulated the main organiser, Lynn Matthews, and her team for all the effort put in to ensuring a safe walk and raising a lot of money, which is yet to be counted.”
