People were warned to stay indoors as 10 crews of firefighters fought a huge blaze at a warehouse in Risca this morning.
The crews came from across South Wales this morning after the fire at a refrigeration storage building in Ty Isaf was reported at around 8am.
The fire service advised residents to stay indoors and close doors and windows to avoid being affected by smoke from the building. Police wearing facemasks went door-to-door to deliver the message.
It took the firefighters several hours to bring the blaze safely under control.
No-one was hurt in the incident. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
