Caerphilly County Borough residents to quiz community safety panel

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 08:00, Friday July 2nd, 2010.

Residents still have time to submit their community safety questions for a panel of experts at an event next week.

The Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership will hold its annual ‘Ask the Panel’ event on Friday July 9 from 4pm until 7pm at Caerphilly County Borough Council’s headquarters Penallta House, Tredomen Park, Ystrad Mynach.

Superintendant Jon Burley, Chair of the Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership said: “Whether you would like to find out more about what is being done to address crime and antisocial behaviour in your area, or how you go about reporting enviro-crime issues such as graffiti and dog fouling, the ‘Ask the Panel’ event will be an ideal opportunity to do this.

“The feedback we gained from residents who attended the same event last year was very positive, and I would encourage as many people to come along and take advantage of this excellent event.”

Members of the public are invited to attend from 4pm and will have the opportunity to visit information stalls and speak to members of staff before the event formally begins at 5pm.

Experts will be on hand from each member of the partnership: Caerphilly County Borough Council, Gwent Police, Gwent Police Authority, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Aneurin Bevan Health Board and All Wales Probation Service.

Free transport to and from the event is available – for more information call 01443 864374.

If you have a community safety related question that you would like to put to the panel on July 9, email saferccb@caerphilly.gov.uk or call 01443 864374.
