Would-be performers have got a month to get their act together for this year’s Caerphilly’s Got Talent.

Inspired by the ITV hit TV show Britain’s Got Talent, Caerphilly’s Got Talent is the biggest talent search to be staged in Caerphilly County Borough.

Now in its third year – could you be the 2010 winner?

This year auditions will start at Blackwood Miners’ Institute on Saturday August 7 between 10am and 4pm.

People can also audition at New Tredegar Leisure Centre on Saturday August 14 between 10am and 2pm or Caerphilly Leisure Centre on Saturday August 21 between 10am and 2pm.

The competition is open to individuals and groups of all ages but you must live or work in the Caerphilly County Borough to qualify for entry.

Proof of eligibility may be required. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Visit www.blackwoodminersinstitute.com to download an application form and a full list of terms and conditions.

The final will take place at Blackwood Miners’ Institute on Saturday October 9 judged by a local celebrity panel with top prizes to be won.

Last year’s winner, singer Lisa-Ann Davies from Penyrheol, won a personal style package worth more than £500.
