Gwent Police has said it is no longer investigating an alleged sexual assault which was reported to have happened in Penyrheol.
A spokesman for Gwent Police said: “Following further police enquiries, officers are satisfied that no offences have taken place and will no long be investigating this allegation.”
Police had issued an appeal for information and had stepped up patrols in the area after the reported attack happened on Thursday night in the Pen y Bryn area of Penyrheol.
