Cefn Fforest Leisure Centre re-opens

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 11:26, Monday December 19th, 2011.

Cefn Fforest Leisure Centre has re-opened today after a refit to help extend its life.

The centre has undergone structural works, electrical re-wiring, new ceilings and lights, new doors and a good old lick of paint.

Cllr Phil Bevan said: “I am very impressed with these improvement works, which have helped give the centre a new lease of life. The council provides an impressive portfolio of leisure facilities for local residents, and we are keen to encourage as many young people as possible to lead a fit and active lifestyle.

“I am delighted that this well-used facility is up and running again and I am sure residents will join me in welcoming these improvement works to the centre.”

Cllr Phil Bevan, Cllr Allan Pritchard and Cllr Lyn Ackerman help promote the new leisure centre and the council's Facebook pages
