A former student at St Martin’s School has been rewarded for getting the highest mark in his A-level Art and Design exam.

Sean Gregory, from Caerphilly, gained the highest marks of all the candidates who sat WJEC exam in 2011.

For his efforts, Sean will receive a certificate and prize of £50 together with a personal letter from Gareth Pierce, WJEC’s Chief Executive, congratulating him on such tremendous results.

Sean chose the course because of the “freedom of choice within the course” and he would like to thank his Art teacher, Mr Latham, for “inspiring and encouraging” him throughout his time in the school.

He is currently studying Animation at the University of Glamorgan with hopes of working within motion animation or set design.
