Companies have until Friday to enter this year’s Caerphilly Business Forum Awards.
Businesses of all sizes across the Caerphilly County Borough are eligible to enter the awards – with the shortlisted companies to be featured at a special presentation event in November.
Paul Williams, Director of Crumlin-based Utility Training Services, not only won the 2009 Young Growth Business of the Year Award, but was also crowned overall Premier Award winner – just 18 months after launching the business.
Urging business to enter this year’s awards, Paul said: “Winning awards may not make you a multi-millionaire overnight, but it will make a huge difference to any business.
“Not only can your employees share in the success of the firm they work for winning an award, but it’s also very important from a customer point of view. Your clients know they are dealing with a company that has secured a major achievement and a part of your success will automatically become rubbed off on them.
“For an employer it’s pay-back time, just reward for all that hard work and effort ploughed into creating and running a business. So everyone becomes a winner and shares in the glory of winning a business award.”
Now in its ninth year, the Caerphilly Business Awards are open to companies of all sizes and sectors from across the Caerphilly Council area, with the winners being revealed at an awards ceremony staged in association with Coleg Gwent at the Bryn Meadows Hotel in Maesycymmer on Friday, November 12.
Seven categories of awards are available to enter. The categories and their sponsors are:
- Young Business of the Year (Venture Wales)
- Young Business of the Year High Growth (Welsh Assembly Government)
- Business of the Year for 25 employees or fewer (Caerphilly County Borough Council)
- Business of the Year for more than 25 employees (SEDA UK)
- Environment Award (UES)
- Young Achiever (PHS Group)
- Health Works Award (Health Challenge Caerphilly)
Each winner will also be put forward for the overall Premier Award, this year sponsored by Broomfield Alexander.
