Islwyn MP Chris Evans, has described a new human resources consultancy as vital to the future success of the local economy.

Mr Evans made his remarks at the official opening of Atega Business Solutions on Blackwood High Street.

Atega Business Solutions Ltd, is a HR Consultancy and Employment Law specialist firm, which aims to support local businesses with recruitment needs.

Mr Evans met the firm’s managing director Phil Williams and members of his senior team before declaring Atega Business Solutions officially open for business.

He said: “Businesses like Atega are going to be part of the success of our future economy. Despite all the doom and gloom nationally it is really refreshing to see a locally-based company go from strength to strength.”

Phil Williams, managing director of Atega Business Solutions, said: “We were delighted that Chris Evans MP was able to officially open our new offices and that he showed so much interest in what we are doing here. Blackwood is an excellent location for a young business to thrive.”
