New business grant for economic growth in Caerphilly County Borough Council

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 12:00, Thursday January 5th, 2012.

The Welsh Government has launched a £15 million Wales Economic Growth Fund for businesses.

Expanding and growing businesses in Caerphilly County Borough can apply for grants starting at £100,000 for investment to create and jobs.

Applications are open until January 31 2012 and funding will need to be spent by December 31 2012.

Cllr Ron Davies, cabinet member for regeneration said: “This scheme is only available for a short period of time and the minimum funding application is £100K.

“I would urge our local businesses to take advantage of this scheme. Businesses who are considering making smaller capital investments should contact the Advisory Services Team at Caerphilly council because there is a range of funding available for a variety of investments, from starting up through to growing a business.”

For further information, please contact the council’s business Advisory Services on 01443 866222 or visit www.business.wales.gov.uk/growthfund
