Roadworks on the A472 – Ystrad Mynach to Nelson

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 15:00, Thursday October 14th, 2010.

Caerphilly county borough council is to work on various retaining walls along the A472 between Ystrad Mynach and Nelson.

The work is scheduled to start on Monday October 18 and is due to last 13 weeks until January 14 next year.

Traffic lights will be required on the road to allow safe working areas.

Works on the gabion wall, which is above the field adjacent to Penallta House council offices, will require traffic lights for two weeks. This work is due to start on Monday October 25 to coincide with the school half term holidays to try and minimise disruption. Traffic lights will be manually controlled during peak hours.

All other work will be undertaken with traffic lights between 9.30am and 3.30pm to avoid peak hours.

The contractor appointed is ERH Communications Ltd. For more information contact Caerphilly County Borough Council on 01495 235166.
