Islwyn MP Chris Evans has paid tribute to the work of local charity Crafts for Everyone as he visited their pottery workshop to present them with a donation.

The Crumlin-based charity which provides craft classes for people with learning disabilities, invited Mr Evans to meet with support workers and students and see some of the ceramics made in their workshop.

Mr Evans said: “Crafts for Everyone makes a real difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities and I can think of no better charity to donate to.

“The students here are able to learn a new skill in a friendly environment and some of the talent on display is very impressive.

“I would like to pay tribute to the staff and volunteers who run the charity; they create a fantastic atmosphere and we are very lucky to have them in Islwyn.”
