Labour AM Jeff Cuthbert has praised the attendance records of school pupils from the
Caerphilly constituency at an event held at the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff Bay this week.

Neither Lewis Hall, of Bedwas High School, and Harriet Risby, of Lewis Girls’ School, have missed a day of school in the last five years.

Both were given a 100% Attendance Award at an event organised by the Mid Glamorgan Education Business Partnership.

Mr Cuthbert AM said: “This is an outstanding achievement for both Lewis and Harriet. I was very pleased to meet both of them at the awards presentation and congratulate them on not missing a day of school in five years.

“Both Lewis and Harriet can feel extremely proud. I wish both pupils the very best as they continue their educational journey.”
