Operation Santa appeal 2010 launched

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 11:00, Wednesday November 17th, 2010.

Caerphilly County Borough Council has launched its annual Operation Santa appeal to help more than 650 local children.

The children are not helped by any other appeal and have been nominated by social workers who work with families across the county borough.

People across the county borough can pledge to buy a toy and choose the age, gender and geographical area of the recipient.

Operation Santa is also pleased once again this year to be helping families who are working with Women’s Aid, Home-Start and Gofal Cymru.

It is easy to get involved – either call the pledge hotline on 01443 866577 or email operationsanta@caerphilly.gov.uk and pledge to buy a present for a child. The deadline for pledges is Friday December 3.

Once a pledge is made, that person has to buy the gift and take to one of the collection centres situated across the county borough between Monday November 29 and Monday December 13
