An ex-serviceman from Llanbradach has set up his own decoration and finishing business with help from Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Mark Brown left the Army in June this year and set up a business called ‘The Finishing Touch’.

Mr Brown has received financial support through Caerphilly County Borough Council and UK Steel Enterprise’s Community Business Support Fund.

Cllr Ron Davies, cabinet member for regeneration said: “We urge local entrepreneurs to get in touch with our Economic Development team to find out more about the kind of support that is available to help them get their business ideas off the ground.”

Andy Morris, Area Manager for UK Steel Enterprise said: “We are delighted that Mark was able to use Community Business Support Fund to purchase essential equipment to start his business and also to help to market it through a website. We wish him the best of luck for the future.”
