Tributes have been paid to the 17-year-old driver killed in a Caerphilly car crash on Bank Holiday Monday.

Daniel James Davies, from Llanbradach, was killed in a smash on the A468.

In a family tribute young father Daniel has been described as a “super son” and “doting father”.

The family of Mr Davies said: “Super son of Emma and Carl Davies, best brother in the world to Ryan, loving boyfriend to Nicci Carter, doting father to Gracie-Jay.

“Daniel was always a happy, fun-loving kid, all his family were his life, especially Gracie. Dan worked at college until he found out Nicci was pregnant then stepped up to the mark and got a job at Peters to support his own little family.

“Anyone that met Dan would remember him for his witty, good humoured, loving, caring ways. Dan always had a smile on his face. He will be always loved and missed by all his friends and family, who would like to thank everyone who has given support for the tributes and flowers.”

The teenage dad was killed in a crash on the A468 in Caerphilly on Monday when his Renault Clio was in a collision with a Ford Ka at 9.35pm.

The driver of the Ford KA, a 28-year-old woman from Porth, sustained serious but not life threatening injuries and was taken to University Hospital of Wales Cardiff.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Gwent Police Collision Investigation Unit on 01633 642404.
