UPDATE: Police reported on January 21 that Mr Williams has been located safe and well.

Gwent Police is appealing for information to trace a missing 34-year-old Bargoed man.

Marcus Williams was reported missing from his home address, in Bargoed, on Monday January 17.

He is described as being white, of slim build, 6ft 2in tall with short brown hair. It is believed that Mr Williams may be in the Merthyr area where he has links.

Police are concerned about the welfare of Mr Williams because it is the first time he has been reported missing and it is said to be out of character for him.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Gwent Police on 01633 838111.
