Trevor Elias, 77, was last seen on Thursday April 5, 2012

Gwent Police are appealing for information after a popular and well-known Valleys character went missing.

Seventy-seven year old Trevor Elias was reported missing from his home in Abertridwr on Saturday April 7.

He is described as being approximately 6ft tall, very thin build, and has brown short hair. He wears glasses.

Police are concerned for Mr Elias’ welfare due to his age.

The police helicopter has been flying over Abertridwr on Tuesday assisting with the search.

Concerned villagers have taken to Facebook appealing for help in tracing Mr Elias who is known for his sense of humour and love of horse racing.

Anyone who sees Mr Elias or is aware of his whereabouts should call 101.

Amended April 11, 10.38am – Gwent Police originally stated the date that Mr Elias went missing as Friday April 6.
