Thieves have managed to steal a digger worth thousands of pounds from Butetown Reservoir in Rhymney.
The digger is a Kubota KX36-3, similar to the one pictured, and has an orange arm and white cabin without glass.
Similar machines are sold second-hand for up to £8,000.
The theft occurred some time between Friday April 20 and Tuesday April 24 and police believe the digger may have been lifted onto a truck and driven away.
