News | Richard Gurner | Published: 11:00, Monday May 21st, 2012.

Caerphilly County Borough Council is holding a series of roadshows this week about noisy neighbours.

The council’s Environmental Health team is running the roadshows as part of Noise Action Week. It will be be hosting events in supermarket foyers to provide advice to the public on how to address noise from neighbours.

Rob Hartshorn, head of public protection at the council said: “Between April 2011 and April 2012 we received 1,358 neighbourhood noise complaints, which shows this is a significant problem for residents. By running these events we hope to encourage people to be considerate towards their neighbours and be aware of their own noise levels, and also to provide information for those who are affected by noise nuisance.”

Events will run from 10am to 3pm each day at:
Monday May 21 – Asda Blackwood
Wednesday May 23 – Asda Caerphilly
Thursday May 24 – Sainsburys Pontllanfraith
Friday May 25 – Aldi Tir Y Berth
