Across Wales, more than 300 applications have been made for street party road closures and there will be plenty more that don’t need road closures. In London on Sunday more than 1,000 boats will sail along the River Thames in a Royal Flotilla.

Among the many crews sailing will be Harriet Goddard a pupil at Lewis Girls School in Ystrad Mynach, who been selected to crew aboard ‘Challenge Wales’.

Harriet has been involved with Caerphilly Adventure Group (CAG) for a number of years.

Here’s our round-up of just some of the events happening across Caerphilly County Borough. If you’re holding a street party, we’d love to be able to feature your photos on the site. You can email them to news@caerphilly.observer
