Rugby fans are in for a treat this Saturday as Caerphilly RFC is set to host the only Welsh leg of the UK Super Sevens Series.

Featuring 12 UK specialist sevens teams including the Samurai Barracuda’s Sevens and the British Students Sevens, as well as four local teams including the Newport Gwent Dragons Academy, the Cardiff Blues Academy and Crosskeys RFC, the second leg of the UK-wide Super Sevens Series takes place at Caerphilly RFC on Saturday June 9.

Gates open at 9.30am and the first match kicks off at 10.00am. The family day out will also have music and entertainment aplenty, as well as a climbing wall and coaching sessions for youngsters throughout the day, courtesy of Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Sport Caerphilly team.

Tickets for the Super Sevens Series cost just £7 for adults, £3 for under 16s and concessions, and just £15 for a family ticket (two adults and two children).

Tickets are available to buy from Caerphilly RFC Clubhouse and Hansford and Stevens Opticians at 2 Cardiff Road, Caerphilly. Tickets are also available to purchase at the club on the day.

The Welsh leg of the series is being sponsored by official tournament sponsors Uninsured Loss Recovery, together with Caerphilly County Borough Council and the Welsh Rugby Union.
