Police are appealing for information following a report of railway cable theft in Gilfach, Bargoed.
The cable was stolen from the railway lines between 12pm and 12.30pm on Sunday June 10.
The cable was later recovered nearby between Andrews Close and Aeron Place.
Officers are investigating and ask that anyone with information relating to the incident or anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Andrews Close, Aeronn Place or Margaret Street areas to call 02920 405040 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting British Transport Police Log 155 of 10/06/2012 .
