Caerphilly County Borough Council and Caerphilly Business Forum are to offer a range of employment advice to businesses t a free event later this month.
Taking place on June 27, the event will advise businesses on many aspects of employing people – from apprenticeship opportunities through to help with raising workforce skill levels.
Tony Sheehan, chair of Caerphilly Business Forum, said: “As the voice for local businesses, we urge any of our business community who are considering taking on staff or placements to come along to this free event and meet with the providers to discuss vacancies, apprenticeship opportunities and much more.
“Businesses of all sizes and sectors, from retail to manufacturing to rural or social enterprises, are welcome to attend.”
Cllr Ken James, cabinet member for regeneration, planning and sustainable development, said: “We are delighted to be working with the Caerphilly Business Forum to help our local businesses increase their workforce, and employ local residents.
“Assisting our businesses to provide employment opportunities for local people will help to strengthen and sustain the local economy.”
The free event is being held on June 27 between 5pm and 6.30pm at Tredomen Business and Technology Centre, Hengoed.
There will be an Exhibition and presentations by leading employment support organisations from Career Wales through to the National Training Federation Wales.
